Westfield, New York is a beautiful spot to hold a Plein Air Paint Out. There are so many interesting and beautiful places to paint. Katherine and Rob Galbraith hosted the 2014 event July 16-20. I had a wonderful time painting with old friends and new. Harold and Janet Hass checked me into their cozy home on Hardscrabble Road at the Day Lily Farm. I am taking home some day lilys to plant in my garden. It was very hard to make my choices because they have so many colors and sizes to choose from. The farm is amazing. It is the second year I was able to paint the garden. "This House Is For The Birds" is a painting of Harold's Studio where he creates life size carvings of birds in wood and paint  An owl caught my eye. It will be coming home with me.The opening of the wet paint sale was packed with folks of all ages. Paintings are selling. Thank you Westfield for supporting artists. "View From Hardscrabble Road" won Best Of Show, What an honor. Thank you Katherine Galbraith.

There was so much happiness in the room at the opening. I felt like I was having a big group hug. Thank you everyone for your support. The show was well received. As George and I were packing up, Lee Newman appeared to tell me how much he enjoyed the show. He was teaching a class at the time. He told me he brought his students through the show and talked about the work.

As I look down the guest list it is good to find names of people I have not seen in years as well s those whom I have not met before. The show was a success.
